The reigning lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and the division’s interim titleholder Dustin Poirier square off in the championship unification with undisputed title on the line. The scheduled for five rounds contest tops UFC 242 pay-per-view fight card held at The Arena, Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, UAE on September 8 (AEST).
At the official weigh-in ceremony both competitors tipped the scales at 155. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.

The co-main event is another battle at lightweight featuring Edson Barboza up against Paul Felder. Barboza weighed-in at 155.5. Felder showed 155. The encounter is scheduled for three rounds.
Also on the main card, Islam Makhachev declared 155 for his lightweight bout against Davi Ramos, who was 156, and Curtis Blaydes came in at 251 for his heavyweight clash with Shamil Abdurakhimov, showing 257. In addition, both, Mairbek Taisumov and Diego Ferreira weighed-in at 156 for their lightweight bout, that kicks off the main card.
Sarah Moras missed women’s bantamweight limit showing 138 for her bout against Liana Jojua, who was 134.5. She forfeits 20% of purse in favor of her opponent and the fight proceeds as scheduled, UFC stated.
