Eersel vs. Holzken 2 co-headlines ONE: Dawn of Valor
Regian Eersel is scheduled for his first ONE Lightweight kickboxing title defense on October 25. Going through the ropes in Jakarta, Indonesia Surinamese-Dutch kickboxer takes on Nieky Holzken of Holland. The pair squares off in a rematch, battling it out in the co-headliner of the event titled “Dawn of Valor”.
The first encounter between Eersel and Holzken was featured on the “Enter the Dragon” fight card held this past May in Singapore. The championship bout, with the inaugural ONE Lightweight kickboxing title on the line, went a full five-round distance. The verdict heard a unanimous decision in favor of Eersel. The pair meets in an immediate rematch, also scheduled for five rounds.

Prior to taking the strap Eersel won ten bouts in a row, which includes the victories against Anthony Njokuani, Brad Riddell, Joakim Hagg, among others, as well as a number of successful defenses of Lion Fight Super Middleweight title. For Holzken the defeat snapped his two-fight win streak, including a unanimous decision against Mustapha Haida and the second-round KO of Cosmo Alexandre.
In the main event of ONE Dawn of Valor Swedish mixed martial artist Zebaztian Kadestam makes the second defense of his welterweight title against Kiamrian Abbasov of Kyrgyzstan.
