The next edition of Estrellas de Acero (Steel Stars, Eng.) has been set at Gimnasio Municipal San Pedro, Buenos Aires on October 13. The event continues WKN Argentinian series of rating tournaments featuring amateur kickboxing, Muay Thai and MMA bouts.
The previous event was held at Club Morón in Morón, Buenos Aires early this month. The roster featured dozens of participants representing 30 gyms from all over Argentina. Junior and adult competitors squared off in a series of bouts, battling it out in their respective age and weight classes.

“Our Argentinian partners and friends develop the WKN amateur branch in the country in order to find a new talent and help building the stars of tomorrow. This is the best way to keep developing our sport and a creating a strong generation for the bright future,” said President of World Kickboxing Network Stephane Cabrera. “WKN Argentinian lead Jorge Acero Cali and Fernando Munoz are doing excellent work, with the help of Cristian Bosch of Dojo Serpiente.”
Alongside Estrellas de Acero, over the years, Argentina has been a host of a number world-class events, including kickboxing series Simply the Best and Bosch Tour. The events produced all over the country feature professional World, Intercontinental and subordinate championship bouts.
In addition, South American capital of kickboxing has recently received its first representative in ONE Championship. Two-style WKN Super Bantamweight champion Argentine “Little Big Man” Federico Roma has signed with the Asian promotion and is expected to make his debut in the near future.
