The Ultimate Fighting Championship returned to Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada on September 15 (AEST) with UFC Fight Night 158. The headline-bout on ESPN+ featured a lightweight battle between Donald Cerrone and Justin Gaethje. The encounter didn’t go the distance. The latter claimed the win by knockout in the first round with punches.
In the co-main event Glover Teixeira and Nikita Krylov squared off at light heavyweight. After three rounds of MMA action Teixeira took the win by split decision.

Also on the main card Todd Duffee and Jeff Hughes faced off at heavyweight. The matchup was declared No Contest in the first round due accidental eye poke.
Among other bouts Tristan Connelly came out victorious by unanimous decision against Michel Pereira from their 172-pound catchweight bout, and Uriah Hall took a split decision against Antonio Carlos Junior at middleweight. In addition, Misha Cirkunov submitted Jimmy Crute in the first round of their light heavyweight encounter.
The six-fight main card followed the preliminary lineup also comprising six matchups. Among the bouts Augusto Sakai stopped Marcin Tybura 59 seconds in the first round.
