UFC Mexico weigh-in results, Rodriguez vs Stephens

UFC Fight Night 159 takes place at Mexico City Arena on September 22 (AEST). The event features a series of MMA bouts on ESPN+, with a featherweight battle between Yair Rodriguez and Jeremy Stephens, serving as a headliner of the event.


A day before the fight show the athletes stepped on the scales to make it official for their respective matchups. Both main event competitors weighed-in at 145.

Women’s MMA bout between Carla Esparza and Alexa Grasso co-headlines the event. The competitors tipped the scales at 115 and 116, respectively, making the required strawweight limit.

Also on the main card Brandon Moreno weighed-in at 124 for his flyweight encounter with Askar Askarov, who was 125. In addition, Martin Bravo came in at 144 for his featherweight matchup with Steven Peterson, showing 146.

Vanessa Melo missed women’s bantamweight limit showing 140 for her bout against Irena Aldana, 135. She is fined 30 percent of her purse and the bout proceeds at catchweight as scheduled (via UFC.com).
