UFC 243 takes place at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia on October 6. The top of the pay-per-view fight card features the reigning middleweight champion Robert Whittaker up against the interim titleholder Israel Adesanya in the championship unification. The contest is scheduled for five rounds.
In the co-main event Al Iaquinta takes on Dan Hooker at lightweight. In addition, Tai Tuivasa squares off against Sergey Spivac at heavyweight, and Luke Jumeau and Dhiego Lima do battle at welterweight.

The Women’s Bantamweight rematch between Raquel Pennington and Holly Holm was scheduled for the event. The contest fell off due to injury recently suffered by the latter. The promotion is yet to announce which bout moves up to the main card.
Among the preliminary matchups, Jake Matthews faces Rostem Akman at welterweight and Megan Anderson meets Zarah Fairn dos Santo at women’s featherweight. In addition, Brad Riddell goes up against Jamie Mullarkey at lightweight.
