Antonio Campoy replaces Masaya Kubo at GLORY 69 Dusseldorf

Representing WKN Top Team, Antonio Campoy of Spain makes his GLORY debut, taking on River Daz of Australia. The pair is featured on the GLORY 69 fight card held in Dusseldorf, Germany on October 12 (Oct. 13 AEST). The Spanish kickboxing sensation replaces previously announced Masaya Kubo of Japan, FIGHTMAG learned.

In his previous bout in July Antonio Campoy earned World Kickboxing Network European Lightweight title by unanimous decision against Daniel Ghercioiu. Earlier in his career he won WKN Spanish Lightweight title against Rafa Valle, as well as successfully defended his belt against Eric Garcia.

River Daz (25-0-1, 6 KO) made his GLORY Kickboxing debut in March. Battling it out in French city Strasbourg, he defeated Vincent Foschiani by split decision.

Among other changes on the GLORY 69 fight card, Arbi Emiev replaces Luke Whelan in the lightweight bout against Massaro Glunder. In addition, Vlad Tuinov received an opponent for his lightweight bout – Artur Saladiak.

In the main event of GLORY 69 Marat Grigorian defends his lightweight title against Tyjani Beztati. In the co-main event Mohamed Abdallah and Michael Smolik square off at heavyweight. Also on the card, Sarah Moussaddak faces Christi Brereton at women’s bantamweight, and “Slovakian Giant” Tomas Mozny goes up against Antonio Plaziba. at heavyweight.
