The World Kickboxing Network added a new Argentinian event to its calendar for the rest of 2019. In addition to the upcoming fourth edition of “Estrellas de Acero” held in San Pedro on October 13, the fifth chapter has been scheduled for November 24 in Ireneo Portela, Buenos Aires.
The event at Club Pedro Echague continues a series of amateur competition featuring light contact, full contact, kickboxing and MMA bouts. The roster includes adult and junior competitors squaring off in their respective age and weight classes.

The previous “Estrellas de Acero” was held at in Morón, Buenos Aires in August. The event saw dozens of participants representing 30 gyms from all over Argentina.
The series is presented by WKN Argentinian lead Jorge Acero Cali (former World Kickboxing Network Super Cruiserweight champion) and Fernando Munoz, in collaboration with Cristian Bosch.
Over the years Argentina has held a number of world-class events, including eight episodes of Simply the Best, produced in various cities throughout the country.
In addition, the South American capital of Kickboxing has recently received its first representative in Asian promotion “ONE Championship”. Argentinian star Federico Roma makes his debut on October 25 in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he takes on Wang Junguang of China in a three-round strawweight bout.
