Bellator MMA announced its next visit to Hawaii scheduled for December 22 (AEST) on DAZN. The event takes place at Neal S. Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu featuring the women’s flyweight championship between Ilima-Lei Macfarlane and Kate Jackson.
The 10-fight undefeated Ilima-Lei Macfarlane (10-0) is the reigning champion in the division. The Honolulu-born fighter earned the inaugural belt in November 2017 by submission in the fifth round against Emily Ducote. In her previous bout at Bellator 220 this past April she took the third-round TKO win against Veta Arteaga, following a pair of wins by submission in the third round against Valerie Letourneau and Alejandra Lara. Facing off Jackson Macfarlane makes her fourth championship defense.

The challenger Kate Jackson (11-3) of England is riding the two-fight win streak. In June she TKO’d Lena Ovchynnikova in the first round, following the win by unanimous decision against Anastasia Yankova.
The Bellator Hawaii fight card is also expected to see the first quarter-final bout of World Grand Prix in the featherweight class. The contest features A.J. McKee (15-0) up against his American-fellow Derek Campos (20-9).
In the opening round of WGP in September, McKee stopped Georgi Karakhanyan in the first round. Campos defeated Daniel Straus by unanimous decision.
Other bouts are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
