Yohan Lidon is scheduled to make the fifth defense of his World Kickboxing Network Super Middleweight title on December 14. The French star tops “La Nuit des Challenges 19” held in Saint-Fons, a commune in the Metropolis of Lyon. The name of challenger has been announced this week – Eduard Aleksanyan of Bulgaria (via Twitter).

Aleksanyan is fresh off the win by knockout against Portuguese Janu Da Cruz, scored at the “Savages Kickboxing” event held late last month in Varna. Over the course of his career, the Bulgarian competitor also fought the likes of Radoslav Kostov and Kamel Jenel, to name a couple. Going up against Lidon he is looking to cause an upset and claimed a prestigious WKN belt.

Lidon earned WKN title in May 2016 by knockout in the fourth round against Karapet Karapetyan. In August the same year he made his first successful title defense by unanimous decision against Danijel Solaja.

In May 2017 the Frenchman retained his title by unanimous decision against Patrik Vidakovics, preceding the third successful title defense in August, which he declared by way of knockout in the fourth round against Florian Kroger.

In his fourth championship defense last August, Lidon defeated Yoann Kongolo by unanimous decision as well as took the revenge.

La Nuit des Challenges 19 is presented by Nasser Kacem. The rest of fight card is expected to see the A-list French fighters and international competitors, including the two-style WKN World Super Featherweight champion Brandon Vieira.
