Nong-O Gaiyanghadao makes the third defense of his ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai title against his country-fellow Saemapetch Fairtex. The pair headlines the event titled “Edge of Greatness”, taking place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on November 22.
In his previous bout last month Nong-O retained the belt by split decision against Brice Delval. Before that he scored a unanimous decision against Hiroaki Suzuki, following the inaugural title win against Han Zihao, also by unanimous decision.
The resume of Saemapetch includes the wins against Ognjen Topic, Alaverdi Ramazanov, to name a couple. He was also scheduled to face Adam Noi early September but the bout was cancelled due to medial reasons for the latter.
The co-main event at Edge of Greatness features MMA fighters Amir Khan and Ev Ting squaring off at lightweight.
Amir Khan (11-6) lost three fights in a row. In May he was stopped by Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev in the first round. Before that he was submitted by Ariel Sexton in Round 3, and dropped a unanimous decision against Eduard Folayang. His most recent win was in September last year against Honario Banario.
Ev Ting (17-6) won his previous bout in July by submission in the second round against Daichi Abe. Prior to that he was KO’d by Arsanaliev in the first round, and submitted by Shinya Aoki also in Round 1.
