MMA event UFC on ESPN 6 took place at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts on October 19 (AEST). Top of the bill saw former middleweight champion Chris Weidman moving up a weight class in the scheduled for five rounds light heavyweight battle against unbeaten Dominick Reyes.
The contest ended in the first round in favor of Reyes, who claimed the win by knockout as well as updated his undefeated record to 12-0. Weidman dropped to 14-5 and suffered the second defeat by knockout in a row.

In the co-main event Jeremy Stephens and Yair Rodriguez faced off in the featherweight rematch following their first bout last month, which ended in No Contest. The second bout went a full three-round distance. The latter claimed the win by unanimous decision.
Also on the main card Greg Hardy scored a unanimous decision against Ben Sosoli at heavyweight. Joe Lauzon stopped Jonathan Pearce in the first round of their lightweight encounter.
In addition, Maycee Barber TKO’d Gillian Robertson in the first round at women’s flyweight, and Darren Stewart took a split decision against Deron Winn at 188.5-pound catchweight. The complete UFC on ESPN 6 results can be found below.
