Fight Weekend: What’s on Nov. 2 in Boxing & MMA

A trio of world-class boxing and MMA events are scheduled for this coming Fight Weekend, Saturday November 2 in Europe and the US. The list includes Synottip Fight Club vol.5: Grisunins vs. Bosnjak in Riga, Latvia, UFC 244: Masvidal vs. Diaz in New York City, NY and light heavyweight championship showdown between Canelo Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev.

LNK Boxing presents Synottip Fight Club vol.5 at Arena Riga in Riga, Latvia. The event billed as “Heavyweight Explosion” features a series of boxing and MMA bouts with IBA Intercontinental title contested in the headliner of the show. The contest features Nikolajs Grisunins (11-1-1) of Latvia up against Dzemal Bosnjak (4-0-0) of Bosnia. The cruiserweight championship encounter is scheduled for ten rounds.

UFC 244 takes place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, NY. The pay-per-view fight card is headlined by a highly anticipated showdown between Jorge Masvidal (34-13) and Nate Diaz (20-11). The pair of welterweights meets in the scheduled for five rounds battle with the “Baddest Mother F**cker” belt on the line.

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (52-1-2, 35 KO) and Sergey Kovalev (34-3-1, 29 KO) square off at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, NV. The contest features the middleweight king, who moves up a weight class, challenging the defending WBO Light Heavyweight champion. The title bout is scheduled for twelve rounds.
