Nikolajs Grisunins vs. Dzemal Bosnjak for IBA Intercontinental Cruiserweight title

Nikolajs Grisunins and Dzemal Bosnjak square off in the headliner of Synottip Fight Club vol.5. The event, presented by LNK Boxing, takes place at Arena Riga in Riga, Latvia on November 2.

Grisunins and Bosnjak battle it out for IBA Intercontinental Cruiserweight title. In addition, the pair meets for the second time. Their first encounter in 2013 was an amateur contest, which ended in favor of the latter.

Nikolajs Grisunins (11-1-1, 5 KO) of Latvia is riding the four-fight win streak. In his previous bout in June he scored a unanimous decision against Vaclav Pejsar. Before that he stopped Mate Kristof in the second round, following a pair of win by unanimous decision against Stanislav Kutin and Amine Boucetta.

Dzemal Bosnjak (4-0-0, 3 KO) of Bosnia is much less experienced as a pro, who made his debut in April 2018. Yet, he won all four of his outings. In March he knocked out Armend Xhoxhaj in the third round. Prior to that he earned a unanimous decision against Amine Boucetta and stopped Yimma Osei and Aleksandar Petrovic in Round 2 and 1 (respectively).

The Grisunins vs. Bosnjak championship bout is scheduled for ten rounds.

The official weigh-in ceremony was conducted on Friday. The rest of the fight card features a series of boxing and MMA bouts with local and international competitors.
