Featherweights Zabit Magomedsharipov of Russia and Calvin Kattar of the US battled it out in the headliner of UFC Moscow (Fight Night 163) held at CSKA Arena on November 10 (AEST). The contest went a full distance and ended in favor of the representative of the country-host, who earned a unanimous decision.
In addition Magomedsharipov updated his record to 18-1, riding the 14-fight win streak. Kattar dropped to 20-4.

The co-main event saw a three-round heavyweight encounter between Greg Hardy and Alexander Volkov. The latter came out victorious also by unanimous decision.
Among other main card bouts, Danny Roberts stopped Zelim Imadaev in the second round at welterweight, and Ed Herman scored a unanimous decision against Khadis Ibragimov at light heavyweight. In addition, Anthony Rocco Martin defeated Ramazan Emeev by unanimous decision at welterweight, and Shamil Gamzatov took a split decision against Klidson Abreu at light heavyweight.
