The WKN World Cup 2019 is a three-day sporting fiesta held from November 28 to November 30 in Auckland, New Zealand. The first two days of competition take place at YMCA, featuring amateur kickboxing and MMA championship bouts. The final day is hosted at Eventfinda Stadium with professional title contested in the headliner of the show.
The Athlete Registration was launched mid July, with numerous international competitors expected to battle it out for prestigious trophies. The final chance to sign up is set for today, preceding the registration wrap up scheduled for tomorrow, November 16 (the promoters in Auckland announced via a post on Facebook). The final day of competition is headlined by WKN World Middleweight title fight between NZ undefeated mixed martial artist Kelvin “Crazy Horse” Joseph and UFC veteran Roan “Jucao” Carneiro of Brazil. The previously announced kickboxing contest between Greg Tony and Antonio Silva appears to be off due to withdrawal of the latter.
Newly-crowned Bellator MMA Welterweight champion Douglas Lima is expected to attended WKN World Cup among other renowned fighters.
