The second encounter between Rico Verhoeven and Badr Hari is now a five-round championship bout, the promotion announced on Saturday. The pair meets at GelreDome in Arnhem, Netherlands on December 22 (AEST).

“The first GLORY: COLLISION event was a meeting of rivals, with no world title on the line. COLLISION 2 was initially set to follow the same format, but fans around the world have clamored for the world title to be on the line,” said Marshall Zelaznik, GLORY CEO.

Rico Verhoeven (55-10, 16 KO) has also signed a new multi-fight multi-year contract with GLORY Kickboxing. He is riding the 17-fight win streak, including eight successful title defenses.

Badr Hari (106-13, 92 KO) signed a deal with the promotion this past May. K-1 kickboxing legend was last seen in action in March 2018.

The pair first meet in December 2016. The contest ended in the second round in favor of Verhoeven, who took the win by TKO after Hari received arm injury.

In the co-main event of GLORY Collision 2 Alex Pereira defends his middleweight title against challenger Ertugrul Bayrak. The rest of the card is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
