The previous show in the Oceania region, UFC 243 took place at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne, Australia early October. The event saw Israel Adesanya unifying middleweight titles via second-round KO of former champion Robert Whittaker. The most recent event in Auckland, New Zealand was held in June 2017, when Mark Hunt stopped Derrick Lewis in the fourth round.
The roster of the upcoming event is expected to feature some of the prominent competitors representing New Zealand and Australia, including Dan Hooker and Brad Riddell, to name a couple. The matchups and more information for UFC Auckland are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition, ahead of UFC Auckland, MMA and Kickboxing fans in New Zealand are in for another treat on November 30 at the Eventfina Stadium, accommodating NZ Combat World Cup 2019. The event is headlined by Kelvin “Crazy Horse” Joseph up against Roan “Jucao” Carneiro in WKN Middleweight title fight.

The next on the UFC event calendar is UFC on ESPN 7, taking place at at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. on December 8 (AEST). The event is headlined by Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik, squaring off at heavyweight.
