Fight Weekend: What’s on Nov. 22-24 in Combat Sports

This Fight Weekend selection comprises as many as eight world-class events in all disciplines of combat sports. The schedule for November 22-24 (local time) includes kickboxing, boxing, Muay Thai and MMA promotions in Asia, Europe and Americas.


The kick off is set for Friday, November 22, when ONE Championship returns to Singapore Indoor Stadium. The defending bantamweight Muay Thai champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao headlines the show, facing off his Thai-fellow Saemapetch Fairtex in a five-round title bout.

Also on the day, GLORY Kickboxing presents the first portion of two back to back events held at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL. The event billed as “GLORY 71” features the defending super bantamweight champion Anissa Meksen up against former titleholder Tiffany van Soest in their third encounter.

Saturday, November 23 marks the return of Bellator MMA to London. The event takes place at SSE Arena in Wembley, featuring Michael Page squaring off against Giovanni Melillo at welterweight.

Muay Thai promotion “Thai Fight” visits Mae Sot, Tak province, with a trio of four-man knockout tournaments and a series of super fights. Famed Saenchai partakes in the junior middleweight contest, battling it out in semi-final.

In addition, GLORY Kickboxing hosts the second chapter of its two back to back events at Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL. The fight card billed as “GLORY 72” is headlined by the rematch between the defending featherweight champion Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao and challenger Kevin Vannostrand.

The culmination for Saturday, sees the second encounter between the reigning WBC Heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder and challenger Luis Ortiz. The pair goes head to head in the scheduled for twelve rounds championship rematch held at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

To conclude Fight Weekend, Sunday, November 24 features a pair of World Kickboxing Network events held in Belgium and Argentina.

The annual La Nuit des Titans at Hall Omnisports in Farciennes is headlined by Gaetano Pirrello and Ahmed Alikada, contesting for WKN European Super Featherweight title. The scheduled for five rounds championship bout tops the fight card, featuring local and international competitors in a series of Muay Thai and kickboxing matchups.

The fifth edition of Estrellas de Acero takes place at Club Pedro Echague in Ireneo Portela, Buenos Aires province. The event continues WKN Argentinian series of amateur tournaments, with adult and junior competitors testing the skills in their respective weight and ages classes.
