Meksen vs. Van Soest 3 on weight for GLORY 71 Chicago

Anissa Meksen defends her women’s super bantamweight kickboxing title against former champion Tiffany van Soest in the headliner of GLORY 71 Chicago. The pair meets for the third time, kicking off the program of two back to back events that the promotion hosts at Wintrust Arena this weekend (Nov. 22-23).


At the official weigh-in ceremony conduced a day before the show the current champion tipped the scales at 121.5. The challenger showed 121. The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.

The co-main event features heavyweights Benjamin Adegbuyi and D’Angelo Marshall, squaring off in the rematch. The athletes weighed-in at 262 and 263, respectively.

Also on the main card a pair of welterweight matchups. Mike Lemaire came in at 169.5 for his bout against Malik Watson-Smith, who was 169. Lorawnt-T Nelson and Ammari Diedrick declared 168.5 and 169.5 (respectively).

The second part, billed as GLORY 72, is headlined by the reigning featherweight kickboxing champion Petchpanomrung Kiatmookao up against former interim titleholder Kevin Vannostrand, squaring off in the championship rematch.
