Pirrello vs. Alikada Official for WKN European Gold

The WKN European title is on the line tonight (Nov. 24) in Farciennes, Belgium. The contest features the representative of the country-host Gaetano Pirrello up against Ahmed Alikada of France. The pair of super featherweights squares off in the scheduled for five rounds championship bout in Muay Thai. The encounter tops the annual “La Nuit des Titans”, presented by Osman Yigin at Hall Omnisports in Farciennes.


Gaetano Pirrello is a former amateur world and European champion, known for his appearances at Simply the Best. His resume includes the victories against Lubomir Rusnak, Rehda Chtibi, among others. Battling it out in his home town he aspires to earn WKN European gold in the professional class.

French champion Ahmed Alikada (15-4) is looking to claim a prestigious belt on the rival territory.

The official weigh-in ceremony was conducted on Saturday. Both challengers successfully made the required limit.

Among other bouts featured on the card, Soufiane Ait Ouccime of Belgium and Umar Abubakar of Ghana battle it out for WKN International Super Welterweight title in oriental kickboxing. In addition, local Ougo Huet takes on French Fabien Bernard in a three-round 59 kg catchweight Muay Thai bout.
