Following two back to back fight cards held in Chicago this past weekend, GLORY Kickboxing announced a nearly completed lineup for its next show. The event, billed as GLORY 73, takes place at Nanshan Culture and Sports Center in Shenzhen on December 7, marking the promotion’s return to China.
The top of the fight-bill features the defending lightweight champion Marat Grigorian (62-11-1, 35 KO) up against the 23-fight undefeated challenger Elvis Gashi (23-0, 11 KO). The championship bout is scheduled for five rounds.
In the co-main event Stoyan Koprivlenski (11-3, 5 KO) and Josh Jauncey (30-10, 15 KO) square off in a three-round rematch. Their first bout, the “2018 Fight of the Year” nominee, ended in favor of the latter, who took the win by split decision.
The main card also includes the four-man knockout tournament in the featherweight class. To win the contest the competitor has to earn two victories during one evening, going through semi-final and final. In one of the opening bouts Meng Goafeng faces Masaya Kubo. In another, Hu Binqian takes on River Daz.
The four-fight Super Fight Series card follows a preliminary lineup comprising three bouts. The finalized GLORY 73 fight card is expected to be announced shortly.
