Gaetano Pirrello wins WKN European Super Featherweight Muay Thai title
Gaetano Pirrello defeats Ahmed Alikada to take WKN European Super Featherweight Muay Thai title at La Nuit des Titans 2019

WKN European Super Featherweight Muay Thai title was on the line last night (Nov. 24) in Farciennes, Belgium. The contest featured the representative of the country-host Gaetano Pirrello up against French competitor Ahmed Alikada. The contest topped the annual “La Nuit des Titans” presented by Osman Yigin.

The scheduled for five rounds championship bout went a full distance. The verdict heard a unanimous decision in favor of Pirrello, who added a new title to his collection. Earlier in his career the athlete out of Osman Gym earned amateur European and world belts. Alikada dropped to 15-5.

Also on the night Salvatore Scaletta claimed Belgian featherweight title as well as the revenge against his countryman Mohammed Kloua. Their first bout two years ago at Simply the Best 17 ended in favor of the latter.

In addition, local Soufiane Ait Ouccime defeated Umar Abubakar of Ghana to take WKN International Super Welterweight kickboxing title, and newly-crowned European featherweight champion Ougo Huet stopped Fabien Bernard in the first round of their 59 kg catchweight Muay Thai bout. The undercard featured a series of amateur matchups.
