Samuel Dbili vs Branko Babachev weigh-in results
French champion Samuel Dbili (8-3, 6 KO) squares off against Bulgarian competitor Branko Babachev (9-2, 2 KO) tonight (Nov. 30) in Perpignan, France. The pair battles it out for WKN European super middleweight kickboxing title under oriental rules (K-1 style). The contest headlines the event titled “Fight Furious Tour”, taking place at Parc des Expositions.
The official weigh-in ceremony was conducted on Friday at the Mercedes-Benz Perpignan Monopole Automobiles. Both athletes successfully made the required limit.
The guest from Bulgaria, Babachev was the first to step on the scales, declaring 78.6 kg. The crowd favorite, Dbili weighed-in at 78.7 kg.
Over the course of his career Samuel Dbili defeated Arslan Oustarkhanov, Liess Labsi, Eduard Mircea, to name a few. He also represented Team France at IFMA European Muay Thai championships.
The resume of Branko Babachev includes the victories against Bozhidar Georgiev, Martin Todorov, Eduard Aleksanyan, among others. He also recorded 5-1-1 in MMA.
The contest is scheduled for five rounds. The WKN supervisor is Habib Bakir.
The Dbili vs. Babachev championship bout is held on the same day (Nov. 30) as WKN World Cup in Auckland, NZ and X’ite Fight Night 7 in Trittau, Germany. The event marks the seventh visit of World Kickboxing Network to France for 2019.
Fight Furious Tour is presented by Christophe Errera of Carcharias Boxing Team.
The fight card comprises a total of ten bouts. In addition to the WKN title fight, the program includes five final bouts of amateur world championship in Savate (French boxing), featuring Team France up against the athletes from Serbia, Ukraine and Japan; professional encounter in Savate, as well as kickboxing super fight.
