Bryan Lang KO’s Nicola Canu to earn WKN European kickboxing title

Bryan Lang earns WKN European super featherweight kickboxing title via first-round KO of Nicola Canu

The WKN European title was on the line last night (Dec. 7) in Baccarat, France. The contest featured the representative of the country-host Bryan Lang squaring off against the Italian kickboxer Nicola Canu. The pair of super featherweights headlined the show titled “Cristal Boxing Event #4” held at Pôle Sportif Josette Renaux.

The scheduled for five rounds championship bout didn’t go the distance. Although both competitors started strong from the first seconds of the opening round, Lang executed a couple of jumping scissor knees dropping his opponent to the canvas.

In addition to the belt, a newly-crowned champion, Lang updated his record to 42-10, 19 KO. Canu dropped to 26-7, 4 KO.

The championship supervisor was Osman Yigin of Belgium, representing World Kickboxing Network.

The event was presented by Vincent Marinetto. The rest of the card featured a series of kickboxing bouts with local and international competitors.

Bryan Lang def. Nicola Canu by KO (jumping scissor knee, R1).
