Yohan Lidon defeats Giorgi Kankava to retain WKN super middleweight title

La Nuit des Challenges 19: Lidon vs. Kankava took place at Palais des Sports in Saint-Font, France on December 14. The event presented by Nasser Kacem featured a series of kickboxing and Muay Thai bouts with WKN world title contested in the headliner of the show.

The defending World Kickboxing Network super middleweight champion Yohan Lidon faced the challenger from Georgia Giorgi Kankava. The championship bout went a full five-round distance. The verdict heard a unanimous decision in favor of French star, who retained his strap, making the fifth successful title defense.

The event also saw the four-fight Muay Thai contest Team France vs. Team Thailand. All bouts ended in favor of the representatives of the country-host.

Among the bouts, two-style WKN super featherweight champion Brandon Vieira stopped Kongmuangtai in the second round. Hakim Hamech also came out victorious via second-round stoppage against Plangrith. Abdelnour Alikada scored the third-round KO victory of Attapong, and Antar Kacem knocked out Phetkoksak in Round 2.
